The Vocational Gamezone LLC is a public, family entertainment service located at Maples Crossing in Amesbury, MA. We created this business to provide fun and social recreational activities while generating employment training opportunities for all people, yet specifically focusing on high school students and individuals with disabilities. This hands-on training program provides an environment that is accommodating and relates to many individuals passions which will peak their interests as they flourish in a potential career field of their dreams!

What makes this training program unique?

This program offers simplified, experiential learning instructions focused on simulated practice and real-life job shadowing. Many visual instructions with easy to follow checklists will also be used to support the trainees.

If an individual with a disability is enrolled in an employment supported program, they are encouraged to reach out to us and apply for vocational training and vocational assessment opportunities. Job coaches are welcome to provide support as necessary. Although training is a major component of our business, employment is not guaranteed or implied. We are exploring collaboration efforts with other recreation and entertainment businesses around the area to create a pipeline of qualified candidates to fill potential employment needs.

Summer Pilot Program: July 9th to August 10th, 2024.

Maples Crossing is the company that owns and operates the property. They have been great to work with and are very supportive of our mission. As it stands, we have a 1-month trial period to assess the success of our vocational programming and activities. If all goes well, we’ll be extending our services in to the Fall. These 4 weeks are crucial so please tell your friends and family members to spread the word and support our mission by simply planning a visit and having fun playing our games!
